The Sverdlovsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation of two cases opened in sexual connection with a person under 14 years of age under Part 3 of Article 134 and negligence under part 1 of Article 293 of the RF Criminal Code. The first case was opened after law-enforcers learnt that a 13-year-old girl gave birth to a baby in April 2017. The second investigation was opened because the investigators believe that officials of children’s crime prevention authorities aware that there was no proper control over the said minor by her legal representatives failed to take steps to protect her rights and legal interests, basically putting her in a socially dangerous position.

The Head Office of the Investigative Committee has established more occasions on which heavy artillery was used against civilian population in southeast Ukraine. According to Article 12 of the RF Criminal Code, foreign citizens who have committed crimes outside the Russian Federation are liable under the RF Criminal Code in cases provided for by the RF Investigation Agreement if they have not been convicted in a foreign state. Considering this, two cases have been opened in the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare under Part 1 of Article 356 of the RF Criminal Code.

During an inquiry in the murder of mayor of Sergiyev Posad, Moscow Region, Yevgeny Dushko, Investigators of the Major Cases Directorate of the Investigative Committee have gotten on the tracks of a gang headed by Konstantin Piskaryov aka Big Kostya. According to the investigators, he set up the gang in 1999 to kill people. The gang included Sergei Aleksandrov, Sergei Bezrukov, Alexander Zamyatin, Denis Zemtsov, Dmitry Lupichev, Dmitry Mishin, Igor Saryan, Andrei Stolyarov, Dmitry Yurov and others. The gang’s activity was broken off in 2016, when the gangsters were detained.
