Akram Azizov detained within investigation in Saint Petersburg metro terrorist attack

The Major Cases Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee continues criminal investigation in terrorist attack that took place in Saint-Petersburg metro on 3 April 2013.

It has been revealed during investigation that Akram Azimov, brother of Abror Azimov, also citizen of the Russian Federation is involved into terrorist attack.

Akram Azimov was detained in Moscow, an RGD-5 hand grenade was found on him. Currently investigators question him, his role in the terrorist attack is being determined, as well as other information, valuable for the investigation. The investigators plan to request a court to put the man in custody pending trial.

10 people are currently accused in perpetrating terrorist attack.

Investigators continue finding organizers and other persons involved into terrorist attack.
