Today Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin together with a team of investigators and criminalists of the Central Office arrived in Cairo, where he is going to meet Prosecutor General of Egypt Nabil Ahmed Sadik.

Although competent bodies of Egypt are providing all kind of assistance to Russian investigators and criminalists at the crash site, it is very important to give the actions of Russian investigators the status allowing them to document the evidence in accordance with the Russian Criminal Procedure Code. During the meeting the officials also define the joint mechanism for organization of the investigation. These are the issues the Committee Chairman is going to discuss with the prosecutor General of Egypt.

In addition, during his visit to Egypt, Mr. Bastrykin will hold a meeting to determine main areas of the work of investigators and criminalists to find out causes and circumstances of the crash.
