A contusion he got in Chechnya saved a member of the gang of killers from being sentenced to a long term in prison

The Moscow City Court is going to consider the request of sending for compulsory medical treatment the former Lieutenant-Colonel of the Ministry of the Interior Yevgeny Yashkin charged by the Russia’s Investigative Committee with complicity in 25 murders including the murder of the former owner of the German shipyard Wadan Yards Andrei Burlakov.  According to doctors, Yevgeny Yashkin who is under investigation could have developed a mental disorder caused by a severe contusion he got in the course of military operations in Chechnya.

Operatives of the Russian Ministry of the Interior have broken up a major sex trafficking ring. “The staff of the Federal Central Criminal Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior together with the policemen of Perm Territory and Chelyabinsk Region have detained the leader and four active members of the criminal group who are suspected of human trafficking on an international scale,” the press-service of the Ministry of the Interior told Rossiyskaya gazeta.

The official spokesperson for the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin denis the information that baby-sitter from Uzbekistan Gulchekhra Bobokulov suspected of killing a child in Moscow, had phone numbers of extremists in her cell phone. “The information published in a number of mass media that there are some contacts of extremists in the cell phone of the woman suspected of killing a 4-year-old girl in Moscow, is not true,” RIA Novosti quotes Mr. Markin.
