Case over stealing of funds allocated for design and surveying work for Vostochny missile complex sent to court

The Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has completed investigation against Sergey Ostrovsky, charged with a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud committed by a group of people in a previous conspiracy, by a person using their position and on a very grand scale).

According to investigators, in 2011, in the city of Moscow, Ostrovsky while being the leader of a team of chief engineers of ZAO 31st State Design Institute of Special Construction of the Russian Ministry of Defense and CEO and founder of OOO PSK MIKOS fraudulently stole over 14 million rubles allocated from the federal budget of Russia to execute design and surveying work for building a missile complex at the Vostochny space launching site under the Federal Space Program 2006-2015.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
