Officials of the Dagestan Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have taken part in the opening ceremony of a memorial plate to immortalize the memory of the investigator of the Investigative Committee Nazim Kaziakhmedov who was killed by bandits on 27 September 2007.
The memorial plate was set on the building of school No 12 in the town of Derbent.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials of the investigations directorate, management and investigators of Derbent inter-district investigations department of the Dagestan Investigations Directorate, prosecutor of Derbent, management of the local police department, Derbent Office of the Federal Security Service, senior officials the city education office, teachers and students of the school, Kaziakhmedov’s family and friends.
The participants of the ceremony who made speeches noted that Kaziakhmedov had had a reputation as a competent, honest, principled and hardworking employee, a good person and fellow. He had investigated crimes on a high professional level, taken measures to reveal and eliminate conditions that contributed to crimes. He had not spared his free time to do his duty, he had actively cooperated with officials from other law-enforcement bodies, he had been able to organize the work correctly. He had held public interests higher than his own.
By the decision of the Russian President junior councilor of justice Nzim Kaziakhmedov was awarded the Order of Courage (posthumously) for valor and courage displayed in the line of duty.
The students recited the poems and sang songs which they dedicated to Nazim Kaziakhmedov’s memory. Flowers were laid to the memorial plate.
