A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Irkutsk Region authorities of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict resident of the town of Irkutsk Yulia Kiselyova. She was found guilty of a crime under Part 6 of Article 264 of the RF Penal Code (Violation of Traffic Rules committed by a person in a state of drunkenness involving the death of two or more persons).

The court and investigation have revealed that a traffic accident happened at the crossing of Baikalskaya and Piskunov streets in the town of Irkutsk in late July 2015. Yulia Kiselyov, who was driving a Mercedes, ran into a Toyota Haighlander SUV that had stopped on the red light making it to collide with two more cars. The driver and passenger of the SUV died of the injuries they suffered in the accident. Investigators of the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee ran 6 forensic tests, questioned about 20 people. Kizelyova admitted her guilt.

The court has sentenced Kiselyova to 3.5 years to be served in a penal settlement.
