The Crimea Directorate of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings in a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code (rendering services that do not meet safety standards) following a check into media reports.

According to investigators, on 17 February 2016, a 9-year-old girl got injured when the stairs of Simferopol Policlinic No 5 collapsed.

At present the investigators are looking into all the details of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
