The following members of the Community council were present at the meeting: People's artist of Russia, composer, singer-songwriter Yuri Antonov, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Soviet pilot-cosmonaut Georgy Grechko, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Association of public organizations of veterans of investigating bodies "Union investigation veterans" Vladimir Dontsov, deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia Joseph Kobzon, Director of the Institute for International Security of the Russian academy of sciences Andrei Kokoshin, President of the Military Leaders Club of Russia Anatoly Kulikov, archpriest and Chairman of the Patriarchal commission on the family, protection of motherhood and childhood Dmitry Smirnov, Rector of the Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs of Russian Foreign Ministry and academician of the RAS Anatoly Torkunov, multiple USSR, world, and Olympic game champion Alexander Yakushev, honored artist of Russia and member of a regional public organization Stanislav Shubin. Other invited persons were also present: counsellor of the Prosecutor General of Russia Alexander Sukharev, director of FSEI «Cadet corps of the Russian Investigative Committee after A.Nevsky» Igor Zaporozhan, rector of the Russian State Universities for the Humanities Efim Pivovar.
In the course of the reception Alexander Bastrykin thanked the members of the Community council for constructive activity and initiative in important for the whole society events . During the year members of the Community council were repeatedly involved into Investigative committee boards work, as well as in the other most important events at which the most topical issues of counteraction to crime are being considered. At the same time Alexander Bastrykin has pointed out: "without taking time into consideration, you give much attention to patriotic education of our worthy change - cadets of the Cadet corps of the Investigative committee named after Alexander Nevsky and cadets of a cadet class in Khimki city of the Moscow Region. Now it is very important. Because future of our country depends on how our youth is being raised".
Talking to the observers, the Chairman of Investigative Committee of Russia has also stated: "On January 15, 2016 we celebrate the fifth anniversary of formation of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, which is entrusted the responsibility of proceedings preliminary investigation on the most complex criminal cases investigation of which is very important to strengthen law and justice in Russian society. Past 5 years of the Investigative Committee activity showed much. First, it is ability to resolve facing tasks well and effectively. Secondly, these are desire and orientation of our employees for a productive work. Third, by means of organization and intellectual resources mobilization we have achieved weighty results in resolving grievous and extremely grievous crimes. "In 5 years about 4,3 million reports of crimes have been presided by the investigators of the Investigative committee, more than 663 thousand criminal cases have been initiated, almost 500 thousand cases were directed to the court". Up to 1 million visits to the scene of crimes were executed". This is a massive labour and you (respected members of the Community council jointly with members of the Scientific advisory board of the Investigative committee and the Advisory board of the Investigative committee on questions of delivery of aid to orphan children, Community coordination council of the Investigative committee on questions of delivery of aid to children of the south-east of Ukraine and veterans of investigating bodies) made worthy contribution too!".
For the completion of the meeting Alexander Bastrykin awarded members of the Community Council with the service medals of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation "70 years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945" and presented the commemorative signs of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation "Honorary member of the Community council of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation".
