A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the Novosibirsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict 66-year-old worker of a service center Nikolai Lebedev, who was found guilty of crimes under Part 1 of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder), Part 1 of article 166 (car theft), Part 1 of Article 222 (illegal purchase, storage or transportation of firearm ammunition).

The court and the investigation have revealed that the dead body of 25-year-old Anton Krivosheyev with gunshot wounds to his back was found on 25 May 2015, near a motorway not far from one of gardening societies in Oktyabrsky District, Novosibirsk.

The suspect was detained a few days later thanks to well-planned investigative operations carried out by the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee and investigative and search operations run by the police. It was worker of a service center Nikolai Lebedev who had repaired the victim’s car.

According to the Investigative Committee, the two men had a conflict over the complaints about the quality of the repair done to the car. During this conflict Lebedev shot Krivosheyev 5 times. The man died at the scene. To hid the crime the worker threw away the gun and took the victim’s car to one of the parking lots. After that he put the body he had packed before that, into his car and took it to a gardening society and left it there covered with sticks.

The investigators gathered the evidence that proved that the man was guilty of the crime. A lot of investigative and procedural operations were carried out and a number of forensic inquiries were run. The accused admitted his guilt.

The court has sentenced Lebedev to 12 years in a high-security penal colony.
