The Krasnoyarsk office of the Investigative Committee continues an investigation in a crime under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder) after the murder of a 12-year-old boy in the city of Norilsk.

A 38-year-old woman suspected of killing the boy has been held today in Norilsk during well-planned investigative and search operations. According to the woman she committed the crime because her 8-year-old son had had a conflict with the victim. The woman strangled the boy and then got rid of the body. Now she is being questioned by the investigators of the regional Investigative Committee. She is going to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. The investigators are going to request court to remand the woman in custody pending trial.

It has been revealed earlier that on 11 April 2016, the boy’s body put in a bag was found by a street cleaner while he was sweeping the area. The boy was identified as the 12-year-ole one reported missing the day before by his parents.

At present all the details of the crime are being established. The investigation is under special control of the senior officials of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Directorate of the Investigative Committee.
