The Sakhalin Region Office of the Investigative Committee has launched a check in the complaint received during a live Q&A session with the Russian President about threats addressed to workers of a fish factory.

It should be noted that the Sakhalin Region Office is already investigating nonpayment of wages to the workers of ZAO Ostrovnoi fish factory. CEO Natalya Kashkarova has been charged with a crime under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 145.1 of the RF Penal Code and has been released on recognizance.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated earlier against other officials of the said factory. In one of the cases a sentence was passed on due to nonpayment of wages, while the other was dismissed during trial as the sides reconciled.
