Investigative Committee Chairman orders check into facts claimed in application of former investigator of Interior Ministry Pavel Karpov

The Russia’s Investigative Committee has received an application from former investigator of the Russian Interior Ministry Pavel Karpov where he asks to check into the facts laid out in the investigation carried out by journalist Yevgeny Popov claiming that William Browder and other persons, including an agent of Britain’s secret intelligence service MI6, in the 2009 murder of Sergei Magnitsky, an employee of Hermitage Capital.

Mr. Bastrykin has ordered the Investigative Committee’s major office to check the facts and make a procedural decision.
