The memorial plaque was installed on the building of a secondary comprehensive school #3 of Kaspiysk.
The following people took part in the event: employees of investigative department, executives and the Russia's Investigative Committee division for Sovetskiy district of Dagestan, first deputy of the Kaspiysk administration Liudmila Levitskaya, Head of the Kaspiysk education department Suleyman Nurmagomedov, pedagogical group, and pupils of the school, Gadzhibekov's close relatives and friends.
Speakers noted Gadzhibekov had paid no regard to personal time while performing official duties, actively interacted with employees of other law enforcement agencies, was able to organize work properly. He investigated criminal cases in a connection with commission of high and capital crimes in the territory of the republic many of which were successfully revealed.
Based on the results of a criminal case investigation by Gadzhibekov initiated in a connection with commission of an act of terrorism in March 2010 in Kizlyar two defendants are sentenced to life imprisonment, the third defendant – to 24 years of imprisonment.
It is needed to be reminded on December 14, 2011 at 00:05 an assault for life of Arsen Gadzhibekov was committed in yard of 10th house at Amethana Sultana street of Kaspiysk, the criminals discharged him many times with automatic firearm. As a result of inflicted wounds he died on-site.
Thanks to painstaking and thorough analysis work in interaction with the prompt services of the Interior Ministry and department of Federal Security Service investigation managed to establish organizers and performers of the assault on Gadzhibekov's life. By the sentence of the court the criminals sustained earned punishment.
By the decree of the Russian President Gadzhibekov has been (posthumously) awarded with order of Courage for courage and altruism shown during fulfilment of official duty. The Chairman of the Russia's Investigative Committee A.I. Bastrykin ordered to award Gadzhibekov with a nominal weapon.
At the event the verses prepared by pupils prepared and devoted to memory of Arsen Gadzhibekov were read. Blossoms were laid to the memorial plaque.
