Today Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin held a meeting in Astrakhan with heads of Committee’s offices in Southern Federal District. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Chairman of the Investigative Committee Boris Karnaukhov.

Mr. Bastrykin heard reports on the progress and results of investigations into a number of most complicated and high-profile cases looked into by investigative authorities of Southern Federal District. In addition, heads of the investigative offices made reports on the work done in the first quarter of 2016.

At the end of the meeting Mr. Bastrykin gave a number of explicit orders to the heads of the investigative offices concerning investigation of some of high-profile cases and instructions to raise the efficiency of work and related to the most urgent areas of the activity.
