In Moscow Region, local man held on suspicion of killing five

The Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee has detained a man suspected of killing 5 men (Part 2 of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code).

As became known earlier, a 27-year-old local resident and 5 men who had arrived on motorbikes had a conflict on 8 May 2016, around 6 AM, in the village of Chelokhovo, Yegoryevsk District, near an abandoned brewery. The local resident shot at the men from a Saiga hunting rifle. All five men died on the scene. Two women, who had arrived with the motorcyclists, witnessed the crime. The suspect took off after the shooting.

The suspect was detained near his house during well-planned investigative and search operations. By now he has been questioned as a murder suspect. He confessed to the crime and gave the detailed recollection of the crime. He has been remanded in custody pending trial.

For further investigation the case has been passed over to the first major investigations office of the Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee. Experienced investigators and criminalists of the Directorate are working at the crime scene now.
