Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin met today in Makhachkala the widow, son, brother and nephew of official of the Investigative Committee Seifutdin Kaziakhmedov killed in 2009. Mr. Bastrykin gave Mr. Kaziakhmedov’s brother the Committee’s medal “Valor and Courage” and offered his condolences to the family over the death of Seifutdin’s father – Gadzhiakhed Kaziakhmedov, who was killed on 9 May 2016.

After that Mr. Bastrykin held a meeting participated by Vice-Chairman of the Investigative Committee Boris Karnaukhov, head of the investigative office Eduard Kaburneyev, the Republic’s Minister of the Interior Abdurashid Magomedov, head of the Dagestan Office of the Federal Security Service Aleksandr Mironov, officials of the central administration of the Investigative Committee, the North-Caucasus Federal District Directorate of the Investigative Committee and other divisions.

The Chairman heard about the progress of investigations into the crimes that attracted a lot of attention from the general public in the republic, including the murder of Gadzhiakhmed Kaziakhmedov and gave a number of explicit orders for their investigation.
