In Tula Region, probe finished into murder of family

The Tula Region Office of the Investigative Committee has finished the investigation against citizen of Uzbekistan Sirozhiddin Sheraliyev. He is charged with crimes under Part 2, items “a”, “c”, “e” and “j” of Article 105 of the RF Penal Code (murder of 5 people, including a minor, committed with heightened cruelty and with the purpose of concealing another crime), Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, items “a”, “c”, “e” and “j” of Article 105 (attempted murder of 2 people, including a minor, committed with heightened cruelty and with the purpose of concealing another crime), Part 4, item “b” of Article 132 (sexual abuse of a person under 14 years of age) and Part 3 of Article 30, Part 1 of Article 158 (attempted larceny).

Investigators have revealed that Sheraliyev has lived in Tula Region since 2011 and has made his living by occasional work.

In 2014, he got acquainted with a woman from the settlement of Kosaya Gora, Tula, a 29-year-old mother of several children, and has maintained relations with her since then.

At about 3 AM, 30 May 2015, after drinking some alcohol with the woman, her 37-year-old partner, who was also a citizen of Uzbekistan and her 49-year-old mother in a single-family house in Orlovskoye shosse street in the settlement of Kosaya Gora, Sheraliyev had a fight with the elder woman and decided to kill her. He stabbed her multiple times in neck and chest while she was asleep.

He killed the woman, her three children: a 5-year-old boy, and two girls aged 9 and 11, with the purpose to conceal the murder of the elderly woman and because he knew that the woman and children could report him to the police.

During the murder, the accused sexually abused the 11-year-old girl.

Despite the attempt to kill them, the 7-year-old boy and the woman’s partner survived.

The 11-year-old girl, whose body was found on the crime scene, had reported the crime to the police on the phone.

Convinced that all of them were dead and that there were no witnesses anymore, Sheraliyev stole a cell phone cost over 1,000 rubles and tried to flee the scene. However, the police, who attended the girl’s call, detained him near the house.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the approved indictment has been referred to court.
