The Saint Petersburg Directorate of the Investigative Committee has carried out a check into reports published in May 2016 in different mass media about closed groups in VKontakte social network which were inclining teenagers to commit suicides. Following the check an investigation has been initiated into a crime under Part 4 of Article 33, Article 110 of the RF Penal Code (incitement to suicide).

Different kinds of forensic tests are going to be run during the investigation, including a lingual and computer ones. Investigative and search operations necessary to find out all the details of the crime and to identify and prosecute the guilty ones will be carried out.
