The Maritime Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has gotten a report from a journalist and producer of Chestny Detektiv (Honest Investigator) (Rossiya 1 TV channel) claiming that during filming the story about the investigation against Mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkaryov charged with corruption, in Aleutskaya Street in Vladivostok some unknown people used physical force against the journalist and threatened to kill him. The local investigative authority has opened a criminal investigation in a crime under Part 3 of Article 144 of the RF Penal Code (obstruction of legal professional work of journalists).

A set of investigative operations are underway now to identify those involved in the crime and some forensic inquiries have been assigned to find the degree of the bodily harm sustained.
