In Moscow, police officer suspected of taking bribe from Gagiyev’s gangsters arrested

Following the request of the first department of the Investigative Committee’s Directorate the Basmanny Court of Moscow has ruled to put into custody for 2 months Vadim Shavlokhov, the head of the 4 investigation station of the Moscow Region crime detection office of the Ministry of the Interior.

Shavlokhov was detained on 15 June 2016 under Article 91 of the RF Criminal Procedure Code on suspicion of a crime under Part 6 of Article 290 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators, in 2013, Shavlokhov, who then served as the major operative of the Crime Detection Directorate of the Interior Ministry made a favor for a fee of 100,000 US dollars to members of the criminal community led by Aslan Gagiyev, who committed over 60 murders in the city of Moscow, Moscow Region and North Ossetia-Alania. He gave Gagiyev documents that contained the information police had on the said gang.
