Vladivostok Mayor’s brother Andrei Pushkaryov held on suspicion of commercial bribery

The Major Cases Department of the Investigative Committee has detained Vladivostok mayor’s brother, CEO of Vostoktsement Andrei Pushkaryov as a person of interest in the investigation against Vladivostok mayor Igor Pushkaryov and CEO of Dorogi Vladivostkoka Andrei Lushnikov. He is charged with a crime under Part 4o f Article 204 of the RF Penal Code (commercial bribery committed by a group of people in collision).

According to investigators, it was Andrei Pushkaryov who in 2012-2014 passed on to Lushnikov money to bribe him. On the turn Lushnikov acting in the interests of the group of companies Vostoktsement and against legal interests of Dorogi Vladivostoka ensured that the company bought from the group some construction materials to execute municipal contracts on repair and maintenance of motorways in the city of Vladivostok.

Igor Pushkaryov and Andrei Lushnikov were charged with abuse of office and commercial bribery depending on the role of each one in the crime and both of them are under arrest at the moment.

Active investigative operations are continued to find out all the details of the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
