Alexander Bastrykin gives school leaving certificates to graduates of Alexander Nevsky Cadet School

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin gave school leaving certificates to the graduates of the Alexander Nevsky Cadet School of the Investigative Committee today at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 on Poklonnaya Mount.

The ceremony was attended by: Director of the Alexander Nevsky Cadet School of the Investigative Committee, Hero of the Soviet Union Igor Zaporozhan, head of training department of the Investigative Committee, Hero of the Russian Federation Sergei Petrov, People’s Artist of the RSFSR and USSR, honored chairman of the board of trustees of the Alexander Nevsky Cadet School of the Investigative Committee Vasily Lanovoy, president of interregional NGO Outstanding Military and Naval Commander of the Fatherland, state advisor of justice Alexander Sukharev, chairman of the National Associations of NGOs of investigation veterans Union of Investigation Veterans Vladimir Dontsov, teachers and students of the Cadet School, students’ families, guests of honor and children who come from Donbass, including Vanya Voronov who was badly wounded during a shelling.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee congratulated the graduates, their parents and teachers on receiving the certificates. Addressing the cadets Mr. Bastrykin said that “true values have been forged for ages in our country. They are patriotism, courage, dignity, responsiveness, responsibility and the sense of duty. I am sure that all this is important to you as to which use you will be able to apply your talent and use the knowledge you got in the cadet school. You can defend your native land not only with arms in hand, but being good specialists – doctors, teachers, engineers. But many of you, will no doubt choose the noble profession of a lawyer, will work as investigators untangling the most complicated crimes, ensuring that the law is protected, maintaining the principles of kindness and justice. Our country today needs people who in the name of the law will honestly and unselfishly protect its national security and defend citizens against any kinds of crimes. You were prepared to perform this noble work by the Alexander Nevsky Cadet School of the Investigative Committee where the study is based on the traditions of our fine historic past started by Emperor Peter the Great who instituted first garrison schools.”

Saying about the children from Donbass present at the event: Vanya Voronov, Sergei Apresyan, Andrei Lakomov and Vitaly Osmachenko, Mr. Bastrykin noted: “They have learnt the horrors of war at the price of their health, they became victims of a humanitarian catastrophe in southeastern Ukraine. But they displayed fortitude, valor and endurance. Form his first days in the Rosahl’s Clinic Vanya Voronov has been patronized by the Cadet School and he is rehabilitating and established in the ranks of cadets. The rest of the children are under constant attention of the officials of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee. We are sure that those children will no doubt overcome their diseases and will soon step into full life.” The Chairman awarded the boys with badges of the Investigative Committee.

This was the 13th graduation from the cadet school. During their studies special attention is paid to raise patriotism, readiness to protect the Fatherland, improvement of physical shape, mental, cultural and moral development, forming the sense of being faithful to their duty, discipline, responsible attitude to their studies, aspiration to become an investigator and raising respect to state service.
