Investigative Committee Chairman meets space pilot, hero of USSR Georgy Grechko

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has met with space pilot, Hero of the USSR and honorary member of the Public Council of the Investigative Committee Georgy Grechko. The meeting was attended by members of the Heroes Council of the Investigative Committee: Hero of the Soviet Union, director of the Investigative Committee Cadet School Igor Zaporozhan, Hero of the Russian Federation, head of the training office of the Investigative Committee Sergei Petrov and Hero of the Russian Federation, veteran of investigation Magomed Gimbatov.

During a warm conversation Mr. Grechko told the present about his hard but very interesting life and professional experience. Mr. Bastrykin thanked the guest for his work in the Public Council and offered to give his attention and share invaluable experience with the young generation – cadets and students of the Investigative Committee.

The Chairman congratulated Mr. Grechko on his birthday, wished him sound health and long life. Mr. Bastrykin gave him a present for long memory – a general’s sabre, and awarded the badge “Honorary employee of the Investigative Committee” and medal “For Service” for his active public activity.

At the meeting Mr. Bastrykin offered to make Mr. Grechko a member of the Heroes Council of the Investigative Committee. The Chairman expressed his confidence that by his activity in the Heroes Council and the Public Council of the Investigative Committee Mr. Grechko would do much good to raise the younger generation.
