In Udmurtia, Investigative Committee workers hold solemn events dedicated to opening of Andrei Kasimov cadet class

On 1 September workers of the Udmurtia Office of the Investigative Committee have held solemn events at Kozhil School in the settlement of Balezino, Udmurtia, dedicated to the opening of the Andrei Kasimov cadet class.

The event organized by the investigative office was held to immortalize the memory of a young resident of the settlement of Balezino, Andrei Kasimov, who died tragically from the hands of a criminal on 27 October 2014. The young hero was killed while he tried to protect his small sister and was awarded medal “For Rescuing the Dying” posthumously by an order of the Russian President.

The Investigative Office is cooperating with schools including preparing the younger generation for working in state authorities and has established partnership with Kozhil School for training the cadets.

The event was attended by the staff and the head of the Udmurtia Office of the Investigative Committee, the mother of Andrei and Aleksandra Kasimov, Children’s Ombudsman under the Head of Udmurtia, Head of Balesino District, a member of the Public Council under the Investigative Office, Chairman of the Investigation Veterans’ Council and other guests.

The event started with cadets lining up and taking oath. The head of the regional investigative office said welcoming speech, congratulated the cadets on the beginning of the school year which they started in new status and expressed hope that they would be decent citizens, future defenders of the Fatherland worthy of the memory of Andrei Kasimov who went to that school. He gave the cadet class the flat of the RF Investigative Committee as a token of dedication of the motherland and future service to it. Additionally, the investigators have them a class of courage and organized and exhibition of firearms and cold arms.
