The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation into a crime under Part 3 of Article 219 of the RF Penal Code (breach of fire safety).

According to investigators, on the evening of 22 September 2016, a 4,000 square meter fire started in a storehouse in Amurskaya street in Moscow. 1 square meters of the roof collapsed.

According to preliminary information, contact was lost with 8 firemen.

Investigators, criminalists of the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee and operatives are working at the fire scene at the moment. Preliminary investigation is underway to find out all the details of the incident. The firemen are being searched for. The investigators are considering different versions of the fire, including a domestic, a technical one and others. The investigators are going to assign forensic inquiries. The investigation is ongoing.
