Negligence investigation started against officials of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky improvement office

The Kamchatka Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in a crime under Part 1 of Article 293 of the RF Penal Code (negligence) against officials of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Improvement Office.

According to investigators, the officials of the said office due to their improper and negligent attitude to their duties, failed to take steps to control and catch stray dogs in the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. As a result of their negligence a pack of stray dogs attacked a 7-year-old boy near house No 9 in Second Shevchenko Street on 8 November 2016. The child suffered multiple bites to the back and legs.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident and to identify the officials involved in the crime.
