Men found guilty of killing family in Tula Region and gets life

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Tula Region Office of the Investigative Committee sufficient to convict Sirozhiddin Sheraliyev, a citizen of Uzbekistan. He was found guilty of crimes under Part 2, items “a”, “c”, “e” and “j” of Article 105 (murder of 5 people. Including a child committed with special brutality, in order to conceal another crime), Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2, items “a”, “c”, “e” and “j” of Article 105 (attempted murder of 2 people, including a child, committed with special brutality, in order to conceal another crime), Part 4, item “b” of Article 132 of the RF Penal Code (sexual abuse of a person under 14 years of age).

The court and investigators have revealed that on 30 May 2015, around 3 AM, after drinking some alcohol with his 29-year-old female friend, her 37-year-old partner, who was also a citizen of Uzbekistan and her 49-year-old mother in a single-family house in the settlement of Kosaya Gora, Sheraliyev had a fight with the elder woman and decided to kill her. He stabbed her multiple times in the neck and chest while she was asleep.

He killed the 29-year-old woman, her children: a 5-year-old boy, and two girls aged 9 and 11, to conceal the murder of the elder woman and because he knew that the woman and children could report him to the police. In addition, he stabbed multiple times a 7-year-old boy, another son, and the 37-year-year-old man. Despite the wounds, both the boy and the man survived.

During the murder, the accused sexually abused the 11-year-old girl. She called the police and told them about the crime. Later her body was found on the crime scene.

Thinking that all of the unwanted witnesses were dead, Sheraliyev tried to flee the scene. However, the police, who had attended the girl’s call, detained him near the house.

The investigators did a lot of work to collect evidence. They questioned more than 100 witnesses and ran over 40 forensic inquiries. To solve the crime, the investigators had to conduct investigative and search operation not only in the Russian Federation, but in Uzbekistan as well, the native country of the accused.

Thanks to well-planned and conducted investigation, Sheraliyev was fully exposed.

The court has sentenced Sheraliyev to a life in prison. In addition, the man is to pay 3.5 million in damages.
