The Tyumen Region Office of the Investigative Committee continues the investigation into a crime under Part 3 of Article 219 of the RF Penal Code (breach of fire safety entailing death of more than two people by negligence).

As became known earlier, a fire happened in a trailer on a farm construction site on the 1^st km of the village of Novaya Derevnya, Yurginskoye District, on the night of 19 November 2016. Seven people were killed in the fire and another three are now in hospital. By now the three survivors are in stable and satisfactory condition, doctors say.

According to investigators, Omsk-based firm was constructing a chicken run near the village and was the firm that employed the killed and wounded workers.

At present, investigative operations are underway to find out the cause of the fire and those guilty of it. The investigators are questioning witnesses to identify the individuals responsible for fire safety, confiscating necessary documents, have assigned a forensic medical , fire and chemical inquiries. The investigation is ongoing.
