In Kirov Region, former CEO of Turst Yamalstroygazdobycha Yuri Kintsler jailed

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Kirov Region Office of the RF Investigative Committee sufficient to convict former CEO of ZAO Trust Yamalstroygazdobycha, a close cooperation, Yuri Kintsler. He was found guilty of crimes under part 2 of Article 145.1 (nonpayment of salaries), Article 199.2 (hiding money or property of an organization that is to be used to pay taxes or duties) and Part 2 of Article 201 of the RF Penal Code (abuse of powers).

The court and investigators have revealed that the firm was bankrupted in November 2012. Kintsler while being CEO and owner of Turst Yamalstroygzdobycha did not pay wages to 923 workers and transferred the assets worth some 280 million rubles, that may have paid the wages and taxes, to OOO Yamalstorygazdobycha, a limited liability company, which he had founded and controlled. The firm owed its workers more than 117 million rubles in wages and about 75 million rubles in income tax.

The accused was taken to custody pending trial and then under house arrest.

During the preliminary probe the investigators collected and documented evidence guided by tasks and principles of criminal legal proceedings, so that the court could be able to reach a well-grounded decision.

The court has sentenced Kintsler to 4.5 years in a minimum-security correctional facility and banned him from taking any positions associating with running a commercial or any other organization that is not a state body, a local government’s body, state of municipal institution for 2 years. He is also to pay a fine of 300 thousand rubles. The defendant was taken to custody from the courtroom.
