The Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee has initiated criminal proceedings against Deputy Head of the Odintsovo Town Administration suspected of taking a bribe under part 6 of Article 290 of the RF Penal Code.

According too preliminary data, the official demanded that a representative of one of local companies gave him 8 million 250 thousand rubles as a bribe for agreeing to transfer a plot of land and make it bigger. Law enforcers detained him upon receiving 4 million 500 thousand rubles as part of the bribe.

At present the suspect is being interrogated. The investigation is ongoing.
