The Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues criminal proceedings against a 36-year-old resident of the town of Domodedovo, suspected of killing and sexually abusing an 8-year-old boy under Part 2, item “c” of Article 105 and Part 4, item “b” of Article 132 of the RF Penal Code.

As became known earlier, the body of the child with traces of strangulation was found in a forest near Lyamtsinsky cemetery. The boy’s 36-year-old step-father was detained on suspicion of the crime. Investigators are checking if he was involved in sexual abuse of the child and are looking into other circumstances surrounding the crime.

Following a request from the investigators, the court has today ruled to take the man in custody pending trial. Investigative operations are now underway to collect and document the evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
