Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin holds briefing in St. Petersburg

Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has held a meeting in Saint Petersburg attended by heads of the second department (based in Saint Petersburg) of the Investigative Committee’s Head Office, Saint Petersburg Directorate, Leningrad Region and Northwestern Transport Offices.

During the meeting the officials made reports on the state of legality and organization of preliminary investigations in the divisions they head and on the progress of investigations into high-profile cases. Having heard them out Mr. Bastrykin gave a number of explicit instructions about main directions of the Investigative Committee’s activities done to ensure law and order.

The Chairman paid special attention to the necessity of constant cooperation with people, polite and caring attitude to citizens and their problems in order to restore their legal rights and interests.
