In Ufa, probe launched into unsafe services provided to people at policlinic No 1 of hospital No 13

The head of the Bashkortostan Office of the Investigative Committee issued a decision to open an investigation in execution of work or provision of services that do not meet safety standards following the check into violation of rights at policlinic No 1 of hospital No 13 in Kalininsky District of Ufa. The case was opened to provide more capacities to find out the truth as a pre-investigative check does not provide for investigative and search operations needed to do that.

According to investigators, in the period of time between 2011 and 2017, unidentified people failed to provide working elevators in the policlinic in order to deliver patients to needed floors. As a result of violation of a number of legal acts, a 55-year-old woman with her left leg broken had to crawl up the stairs to the second floor of the hospital to get an X-ray which posed risk to her life and health.

At present, investigative and search operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the crime. The investigators are going to identify all the people responsible for the incident and run a number of forensic inquiries. The investigation is ongoing.
