In St. Petersburg, proceedings against man charged with disorderly behavior and death threat to ambulance driver finished in shortest time

The Saint Petersburg Office of the Investigative Committee has finished criminal proceedings against a 45-year-old local resident, the CEO of OOO Interfoodlogic. He is charged with a death threat under part 1 of Article 119 and disorderly behavior under Part 1, item “a” of Article 213 of the RF Penal Code.

Investigators have established that on the afternoon of 17 January 2017, the accused while driving his Mercedes had a road conflict with an ambulance driver near No 1 in Mikhailovskaya street. The man took out a knife and threatened to kill the driver. The accused was placed in custody pending trial.

It was after the order given by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee that the Saint Petersburg Office take over the case opened by the police and finished all necessary investigative operations and collected enough evidence in the shortest possible time.

By now the case has been forwarded for the indictment to be signed and will then be referred to court.

As doctors who are in a hurry to help patients who are often in a critical condition, have recently become more frequently involved in road conflicts provoked by drivers who refuse to give way to ambulance vans, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered all offices of the Committee to respond to each such incident and take respective procedural measures without delay.
