The Saint Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee has held an open day today so that candidates and their parents could meet the Academy’s administration, ask questions about joining, studying and subsequent employment.
The guests were welcome by the administration, professors and 1st and 2nd year students.
The official part was opened by acting dean of the law department, Doctor of economics and candidate of law Lieutenant Colonel Roman Dronov. Vice-chancellor of the Academy, candidate of law and associate professor, honored employee of the Investigative Committee, Colonel of Justice Yuri Borulenkov spoke at the ceremony. He welcomed the guests warmly and made the report The Profession of an Investigator stressing the specific character of investigative work under modern conditions. He noted that today the peaceful future of our country directly depended on the competence of specialists devoted to their job.
The guests watched a film on the creation of the Academy and saw its unveiling. On 1 September 2016, governor of Saint Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko in said his message to the students and staff of the Academy: “People’s faith in justice and power of law depends on investigators. A modern Russia needs high-class professionals ready to do the most intensive work.”
The Academy successfully trains new-generation specialists of the Investigative Committee.
Mr. Dronov got the guests more familiar with key areas of the Academy’s activities, special features of studying and the admission rules. He also told them about students’ living conditions, meals and everyday life at the Academy.
Representatives of HR divisions of the Investigative Committee’s Saint Petersburg Directorate, the Northwestern Transport Office and the Leningrad Region Office explained how to file for entrance.
