The Chairman of the Investigative Committee held a meeting on 31 March 2017 in the city of Saint Petersburg, which was attended by senior officials of the second department (based in Saint Petersburg) of the Investigative Committee’s Head Office, Saint Petersburg Directorate and investigative authorities located in Northwestern Federal District.

Mr. Bastrykin heard reports by senior officials of investigative offices on the work done. He also heard reports on the progress and results of investigations in major cases run by the second department of the Investigative Committee Head Office and the Saint Petersburg, Leningrad Region and Northwestern Transport offices and gave explicit instructions regarding those probes.
