Alexander Bastrykin holds meeting at St. Petersburg Academy of Investigative Committee

Chairman of the Investigative Committee held a meeting at the Saint Petersburg Academy of the Investigative Committee on 31 March 2017.

The meeting was attended by employees of the Investigative Committee’s Central Office and heads of the Academy’s divisions.

The Chairman heard reports on execution of tasks for development of the Academy and Investigative Committee’s cadet school in Saint Petersburg. The participants of the meeting paid special attention to timely development of resources of the Academy’s campus. Mr. Bastrykin said that all expenses have to be “legal, well-founded and calculated to the last ruble”, that construction of buildings should be watched daily, and that only those with impeccable reputation must be appointed to the cadet school. He added that the Investigative Committee’s educational system is developed with the support from the Russian Government, and demanded that officials should take maximum responsibility for decision making and make their activities “clear, zealous, taking into account difficult financial and economic situation in the country.”

During the meeting the Chairman signed a number of orders on the development of the Academy as a full-fledged educational facility with a multilevel training system. Mr. Bastrykin suggested that candidates’ motivation, stress resistance and readiness to learn should be paid attention to.
