The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has taken part in the event dedicated to 25th anniversary of the all-Russian non-commercial organization The Russian Association of Heroes, which has taken place today in the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army.
The President of the Association, the Hero of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov, members of the organization, Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, Deputies of the Russian State Duma, Valentina Tereshkova, Andrei Krasov, Roman Romanenko, the Head of the Ingushetia Republic Yunusbek Yevkurov, the Chairman of the Defence and Security Council of the Russian Federation Viktor Ozerov, employees of the Russian President Administration, representatives of the veteran and non-commercial organizations and other honored guests participated in the event.
During the speech, Alexander Bastrykin pointed out, that over the quarter of a century the Association became a powerful organization, that joins the best people of our Fatherland – Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and full cavaliers of the Order of Glory. For centuries Russia had to defend its freedom and independence, as well as the right to be the great power with weapons and patriotism. And now once again, Russia faces new challenges. Now, we face insidious methods of political, economical, informational and military challenges. And once again, the Fatherland called the best patriots”.
The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee expressed special gratitude to Vladimir Shamanov, who applies a lot of effort to pass on the knowledge and experience, so the potential of the Heroes of Russia could be used in full. “His election to the position of the Deputy of the State Duma and appointing him to be the Chairman of the Defence Committee proves once again how professionals, heroes and patriots are important for the Fatherland”, pointed out Alexander Bastrykin.
At the end of the speech, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee congratulated the Russian Association of Heroes with 25th anniversary and pointed out that “fearlessness and valiant service to the Fatherland will always be the guideline for the youth. Youth will take you as an example and will learn to be devoted to the Fatherland, steadfastly and courageously overcome all hardships and reach for new achievements”.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee also handed medals “For Loyalty to Duty” to the Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Antoshkin, the Heroes of the Russian Federation Gevork Isakhanyan and Alexander Panfilov.
The Heroes of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Bocharov, Valeriy Kukov, Mikhail Minenkov, Eduard Ostrovsky, Alexander Chernov and the Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Kravchenko received medals “For Valor and Bravery”.
The Head of the Administation of the all-Russian non-governmental organization The Russian Association of Heroes Radiy Galimzyanov received the medal “For Cooperation”.
