The Chelyabinsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has accused Sergei Nikolayev, the resident in Chelyabinsk, in battery and attempted homicide and infliction of grave injuries under Article 116 and Part 1 of Article 119 of the RF Penal Code.

On 12 April the regional media post an information that a man beat up a woman, a district doctor, who came to treat her daughter in Kurchatovsky District, Chelyabinsk. The doctor was diagnosed head injury, concussion and numerous bruises. The Chelyabinsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation against Nikolayev for that matter. Necessary investigative operations were carried out to gather evidence, the accused fully confessed to the crime. The criminal investigation is being concluded.

Unfortunately, this is the one of many cases, where doctors become victims. Over the last days, the Moscow and Leningrad Region Office of the Investigative Committee launched several probes in attacks on doctors on duty. The Investigative Committee will continue punishing every case of attacks on medical workers and launch criminal cases against people, interfering into professional duties of doctors.
