The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has taken part as an invited guest in the meeting of the Lawyer Association of Black and Caspian Seas Region.

The association was established in order to provide legal aid to compatriots of member-states that leave the country. The Association is also intended to promote cooperation between member-states in the field of jurisprudence.

Alexander Bastrykin greets creation and existence of such association that protects interests of people of the Black and Caspian Seas Region. The Chairman of the Investigative Committee also noted that “the association can be instrumental in resolving of state-legal matters, combating terrorism, extremism and transnational crime”.

Considering the scientific potential of the Association, which includes several well-know academic lawyers, Alexander Bastrykin proposed to making contacts with the faculties of the RussianInvestigativeCommitteeAcademy and possible future inclusion of these educational institutions to the Association as member society
