The North Caucasus Federal District Directorate of the Investigative Committee has finished criminal proceedings against the director of distillery in Kabardino-Balkaria Islam Berezgov charged with evading paying corporate tax by putting false information in tax declarations on a very large scale under Part 2, item “b” of Article 199 of the RF Penal Code.

According to investigators The CEO of OOO Rus-Alka distillery, a limited liability company, located in the settlement of Chegem-2, Chegem District, during 11 months of 2015 (between March and December) submitted to the tax authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria declarations containing false information on the products produced and sold by his distillery. This way, the distillery avoided paying more than 2.1 billion rubles in tax.

The investigators ensured that more than 1 billion rubles were returned to the budget and arrested the equipment of the distillery and its produce worth more than 300 million rubles.

The investigators have enough evidence, so the criminal case with the signed indictment has been referred to court.
