Misanthropic division members on trial

The Moscow District Military Court has started today a trial of members and heads of units of Misanthropic Division, an extremist community prohibited in the Russian Federation, Vitaly Tsaruk, Viktor Pekhterev and Kirill Khalepo. They are charged with 9 counts of extremist and terrorism. The case was investigated by the Investigative Committee’s Head Office.

Investigators have established that in October 2013, Belorussian citizen Dmitry Pavlov, a racist and neo-Nazi, set up Misahnthropic Division which acted via Internet.

All the materials posted online had the purpose to disparage Caucasian and Asian national (ethnic) groups, to incite hatred and enmity towards Jews, Negroid race, Muslims, to promote the ideas and activities of Misanthropic Division, the ideas of Nazism (fascism), racism and to justify extremism and terrorism.
