Head and staff of Investigative Committee’s Moscow Directorate lay wreaths in remembrance of Great Patriotic War commander, twice hero of USSR and Army General Pavel Batov

The staff of the Investigative Committee’s Moscow Directorate together with the All-Russian NGO Outstanding Military and Naval Commanders of the Fatherland organized and took part today in an event in remembrance of commander of the Great Patriotic War, twice Hero of the USSR and Army General Pavel Batov.

The event was attended by president of the All-Russian NGO Outstanding Military and Naval Commanders of the Fatherland, state advisor of justice Alexander Sukharev, head of the Education Department Sergei Petrov, Head of the Directorate Alexander Drymanov, veteran of investigative authorities Vladimir Mazursky and other veterans, war veterans and guests of honor.

Mr. Drymanov made a welcoming speech and noted the importance of patriotic events dedicated to the member of great commanders. He also added that such events became a good tradition for the Moscow Directorate.

On the 120th birthday of General Batov they laid flowers to his grave and rendered military honors.

Those in attendance paid respects to fine defenders of the homeland, all those who selflessly and heroically on the frontline and at the home front fought for the Great Victory.

Special thanks and congratulations were offered to the General’s daughter Natalya Batova and all war veterans.

Senior officials of the Moscow Directorate pay special attention to immortalizing remembrance of outstanding military and naval commanders and all the veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
