Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin orders check in media reports on mother from Moscow involving her son in sect

Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee has ordered a check into reports made by a federal TV channel on the case over a mother from Moscow involving her son in a pseudo-religious sect. According to media, children that come under the influence of the sect’s leader are forced to watch how adult movies are made and to take part in sexual actions. The 5-year-old is reported to may have been abused in the sect.
Mr. Bastrykin has ordered the Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee which is investigating the boy’s kidnapping to additionally look into media reports and to check if the suspects were involved in other crimes including those committed against children. The Chairman also ordered that all contributing factors of the crime should also be found out and that all necessary measures should be taken to bring the child from Belorussia back home in Russia as soon as possible.
