Russian Investigative Committee keeps on documenting crimes committed by Ukraine’s army against civilian population of Donbass

The Russia’s Investigative Committee carries on documenting crimes committed by the Ukraine’s army on Donbass. More than 50 cases have been opened this year over shelling settlements in southeastern Ukraine, including criminal proceedings initiated against certain representatives of Ukraine’s military, security and intelligence agencies, and over other crimes. There are 98 persons under investigation, including 47 representatives of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces, 12 of them were ruled to be put in custody in absentia and some of them are wanted around the world.

The Head Office of the Investigative Committee has opened today 6 more cases over the use of prohibited means and methods of warfare under part 1 of Article 356 of the RF Criminal Code. According to investigators, from 31 May to 5 June 2017, some Ukrainian military servants repeatedly fired heavy artillery weapons at civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Krutaya Balka, Yasinovataya District; Staromikhailovka and Trudovskiye, the town of Yasinovataya and in Lugovaya Street in Donetsk wounding 7 civilians.

At least 4 civilians have been killed, 26 people, including a child wounded, hundreds of houses and vital facilities have been destroyed or damaged by systematic artillery fire since May 2017 causing long-term disruptions in drinking water and power supply. Residents of the region have to leave their homes saving themselves from horrors of relentless shelling and outrages of Ukrainian nationalist battalions.

In accordance with current legislation the Russian’s Investigative Committee keeps documenting all crimes against peace and safety of humanity, ignored by the authorities of the country in whose soil they are being committed. The Ukrainian military intoxicated with their impunity should bear in mind that crimes against peace and safety of humanity do not have statute of limitations and those guilty of them will by all means be brought to justice whatever their ranks or positions.
