Following media reports on the death of a 6-year-old boy in a traffic accident in Moscow Region, senior officials of the Investigative Committee’s Moscow Region Directorate have met with the boy’s father.

Considering the data collected and received during the meeting with the father, the Moscow Region Directorate has opened a negligence investigation under Article 293 of the RF Criminal Code following expert conclusion on strong alcohol intoxication of the boy.

The expert conclusion states that the boy’s blood contained 2.7 ppm of alcohol. The experts are being interrogated.

The investigators are going to give legal assessment to the actions of the experts.
