Former general producer held under investigation in stealing budget funds allocated ANO 7 Studiya

The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues an investigation in fraud on a very large scale under Part 4 of Article 159 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, between 2011 and 2014, some top managers of 7 Studiya, an autonomous non-commercial organization stole some 200 million rubles allocated by the state in accordance with the resolution of the Russian Government to develop and promote art in the Russian Federation. At present there are two people under investigation: former accountant of the organization Nina Maslyayeva and former director Yuri Itin. A court has ruled to put them in custody and under house arrest respectively.

Former general producer of 7 Studiya Aleksei Malobrodsky was detained as a suspect on 19 June 2017. The investigators are going to press charges soon and ask courts to place him in custody pending trial.

The investigation is ongoing.
