Ukrainian military servants who shelled civilian infrastructure in Donbass on 9 May identified

The Russia’s Investigative Committee continues identifying representatives of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces and National Guard involved in crimes against civilian population of Donbass. Investigators have managed to uncover the names of seven more military servants, including their commander, involved in shelling civilian population. The Investigative Committee’s Head Office has opened an investigation in the use of prohibited means and ways of warfare under Part 1 of Article 356 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, on 9 May 2017, Ukrainian soldiers of Azov regiment of the Ukraine’s National Guard: sergeant N. Ivantsov, private first class D. Shevchuk, private A. Kukuruza, private P Kuchian, private first class I. Bezenchuk, sergeant S. Sumbatyan were executing a criminal order given by their commander – snior lieutenant M. Zhorin, when between 9:40 and 11 AM, being near the settlement of Lebedinskoye, Volnovakha District, Donetsk Region, they used 100mm shells and an artillery weapon of 1944 to fire at civilian infrastructure in the settlement of Bezymennoye, Novoazovsk District, Donetsk Region.

They made dozens of shots at the central part of the settlement deliberately picking residential and public buildings as their aims. Two houses, parts of a gas main and the premises of the single school the settlement has, were damaged. Fortunately nobody of civilians was hurt.

The special cynicism of this crime is absolutely evident to us. To all appearance, the Ukrainian soldiers after celebrating their national holiday on 8 May, had decided to spoil the Victory Day celebrations held by civilians in Donbass. This outrage demonstrates once again their illiteracy and disrespect to the memory of their own ancestors who hand fought in the Great Patriotic War.
