The Khabarovsk Territory Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in deliberate infliction of minor bodily harm under Part 2 of Article 115 of the RF Criminal Code after a 31-year-old man attacked a doctor at hospital No 10 in the city of Khabarovsk.

According to investigators, on the evening of 22 June 2017, the 31-year-old man came to hospital No 10 complaining about some health issues. A surgeon started examining him. During the examination the patient became inadequate and aggressive. At some point he grabbed a chair and threw it at the doctor. The doctor had to leave the room to avoid a fight. The patient caught him in the corridor, knocked him to the floor and started beating. He was then held by the police.

The doctor was hospitalized and is now being treated.

Investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the incident. The attacker is now expecting a custodial restraint. The investigation is ongoing.
